Ballerina - animation

Slide the tab in and out to see the ballerina dance! My animation card features a stamp by Uchi Designs / Motion Crafts stamped in fuchsia with a frame of hearts and flowers.

Putting It Together

I have been enamoured of the animation stamps since I first saw them. It took me a bit longer before I got the chance to pick some up.

I stamp the Motion Crafts ballerina in fuchsia on a white panel and built a frame with a heart flower patterned paper and glittered cardstock. I dry fit them together with the pre-printed animation sheet included with the stamp. The animation sheet was too large for an A2 card so I did have to trim it.

To figure out where to trim, I needed to make sure there would be enough movement behind the frame while making sure there would be room for adhesive, too.  I put the panel as far in as possible and marked it with a pen where the foam tape would stop it.

I then moved it out to where the foam tape would stop it and checked to see  it was still covering the opening.

One of the reasons I chose to make this card was from a sketch challenge inspiration. The sketch is from Outlawz Wednesday.

I added washi tape from Micheals and rhinestone hearts from Hero Arts to the frame.

I used foam mounting tape on the edges of the frame to allow the animation panel to move freely.

I added the stamped image directly to the card base and placed the animation panel and frame over it making sure not to get any adhesive on the animation panel which needs to move freely.

Once assembled, I couldn't help but use the pull tab to watch the animation work. She can do three full rotations in each direction moving the animation panel back and forth.

Inside, I used an Inkadinkado sentiment along with ballet slippers from Emerald Creek. I added a strip of the patterned paper to the bottom for a pretty detail.

  4. Oh Rijacki, the one complaint I have is that there is no video of the sweet ballerina dancing! How beautifully and meticulously you've created this stunning card! I love the colours and the movement you've added. A terrific entry for our Watercooler Wednesday "Anything Goes" Challenge this week.
