Today's card is a bit of whimsy, an angel in a shaker featuring a Craftin' Desert Divas stamp set, a CC Designs die, Daniel Smith watercolours to colour the image, and shaker stars.
Putting It Together
I like shakers. 'Nuff said for why to make one. *grin*
I used a holiday palette card of Daniel Smith watercolours to paint the image. I used Nuvo gold glitter marker on his halo. I noted the colours of paints I used on the edge of the paper.
For my layout, I decided to use the sketch from the Christmas Card Throwdown challenge.
I die cut a Core'dinations plaid panel with a CC Designs die and dry fit it with the image, a ribbon from Micheals, and an American Crafts glittered star.
I also die cut an oval from a white fun foam panel. I sandwiched a panel of acetate between the foam and the plaid to create the window. I piled stars on the angel and used the small panel of watercolour paper to create the back of the shaker.
I added the shaker box to a top fold white card base. I like top folds because the card stands up so much easier.
Inside, I added a sentiment and two other small stamp details from the set.
