24 Days of Colouring - July daily challenge from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

For most of the month of July, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps has had a daily colouring challenge for the Facebook group. Any medium but it had to include a Kimmie stamp new, old, current, or retired. I intended to use different mediums as I went through the challenge, but time, other commitments, and convenience compelled me to use a couple more than the rest. I didn't put every image I coloured into a project... yet.

Day 1 -  8 July: I used a combination of Distress marker and Finetec Mica watercolour paints. I put the fairy on a birthday card: Fairy Birthday.

Day 2: I used Prismacolor pencils and made a sympathy card.

Day 3: At work, during lunch, I used Nuvo watercolour pencils. I used the binge-watching girl on a Popcorn Box.

Day 4: At work, my lunchtime colouring was with Daniel Smith watercolours. I put the cute little bug into a Firefly card.

Day 5: Daniel Smith watercolours again. The otter became and Otter-ly Wonderful card.

Day 6: I used Nuvo embellishment mousse with waterbrush and Distress marker accents and created a Fairy Box.

Day 7: I used a mixture of Spectrum Noir and Copic markers. I also did a bit of paper piecing. I made the image part of my Summer Goals.

Day 8 and 9: Distress markers for little mices that I put on a birthday card. I used different watercolour paper for the images.

Day 10: Nuvo watercolour pencils. I haven't put this mouse into a project yet.

Day 11 and 12: Daniel Smith watercolour. I put the girls on a Christmas card.

Day 13: Daniel Smith watercolour again. While colouring the carolers, I fell in love with Quinacridone Gold and couldn't stop thinking of the Lion. I haven't made my Oz project yet.

Day 14: It was a hot day so I used Gelatos to colour some fruit. I used them for the background of a thank you card.

Day 15: I used just one Distress marker. I haven't put this into a card yet.

Day 16, 17, and 18: Daniel Smith watercolours on the other three Oz characters. They're sitting on my desk waiting for their project along with the Lion.

Day 19: Distress Oxide for a single layer card that I made before going to work 'cause I woke up early with an idea in my head.

Day 20: A genie with Nuvo watercolour pencil.s She doesn't have a project yet.

Day 21: Nuvo watercolour pencils again. I haven't put the ballerina in a project yet.

Day 22: Nuvo watercolour pencils in the garden. No project for her yet.

Day 23: Nuvo watercolour pencils yet again. No project yet.

Day 24 - 31 July: Last day of the challenge. I decided to use Copic markers. I increased my stash of Copics earlier in the month at a garage sale hosted by a local scrapbooking store. I did this as a quick colour up before dinner.

Twenty-four days of colouring Kraftin' Kimmies. I enjoyed the challenge to colour something each day. I'm going to challenge myself to do the same next month, but not just with Kimmies. I did also do some other projects during this time, even some other colouring, but it has been harder to keep up with the other projects with so many of one maker.

Bunny Birthday - Through the Craftroom Door, watercolour, die cutting

This week's sponsor for the Through the Craftroom Door blog challenge is Di's Digi Designs!

Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with likeminded people.
I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.

This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

My card features Bunny Cupcake which I coloured using Daniel Smith watercolours accented with gel pen and combined with die cuts from Impression Obsession and Queen & Company.

Fairy Box - Nuvo mousse watercolour

This jubilant fairy is on a small box with roses. The fairy is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and I coloured her with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse using a waterbrush with a little shadowing of Distress marker. I love the subtle sparkly of the mousse. The box is an Eileen Hull steel rule die by Sizzix coloured with an embossing folder from Taylored Expressions,  Nuvo Embellishment Mouse, and Prima Art Alchemy. The fairy is on a wobbler so she has dimension and bounce.

Popcorn and a Movie - watercolour pencil, box

One of my favourite summer activities is binging movies. It's a great way to stay out of the heat from the sun and in a cool shady location. So, I made a popcorn box for holding popcorn with a binge-watching, popcorn-munching girl as the perfect pairing for a movie night. The box features a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps set coloured with Nuvo watercolour pencils, and two Spellbinders die sets. What summer movie do you want to watch first?

Sympathy - Primsacolor pencil

Sympathy cards are some of the hardest cards to make, not because of their complexity, but the emotion behind them. The card I made for today features two Kraftin' Kimmie stamp sets, Krafty Kolors ink, and Prismacolor pencils on Bristol.

Peacock Carousel - Through the Craftroom Door, Prismacolour pencil, Nuvo Mousse with 3-D embossing

I love vibrant colours. I also love romanticised Victorian fashion and carousels. Thus my choice for this week's inspiration project for Through the Craftroom Door's challenge blog.

This week's sponsor for the Through the Craftroom Door's blog challenge is Lucy Sunshine! The random draw prize is 3 images.

Heather Valentin is a lady who breathed art her entire life. She was drawing as soon as she could hold a crayon. Guided by her father. She found her truest joy in drawing and painting, in a BA in arts. Heather made her way in the world by creating original drawings and installations for various global companies / corporations for advertisement and display purposes.
Heather true love has always been creating her original copyrighted characters and sharing them with her appreciative public. Her beloved characters are recognizable worldwide her signature eyes, and drawing style mostly featuring mismatched clothing and characters from days gone by. Making people smile with her art is Heather's greatest joy.

My project features the Peacock Carousel which I coloured with Prismacolor pencils on Craft with highlights of Gelly Roll pens.

The Kaisercraft wooden frame is covered with paper that's been embellished with Nuvo Mousse and embossed with a Crafter's Companion 3D folder.
