ATC Jan 2020 Kawaii - alcohol marker + mixed techniques
In January, I joined the ATC swap from the Sweet Sentiment Facebook group. The theme was Kawaii. I could have made one design for all of them, but what fun in that? Along with the theme, the other rules were ATC size (3 1/2" x 2 1/2") and they needed to have some colouring on them. I used all alcohol markers in a combination of Copic, Spectrum Noir, and Nuvo. I used mostly physical stamps with one digi. Along with the alcohol marker colouring, I used a variety of techniques and added Nuvo drops to most of the ATCs for a bit of tactile dimension.

My lovin' couple is a long retired Kraftin' Kimmie stamp coloured with Spectrum Noir markers and embellished with another retired Kraftin' Kimmie stamp along with retired Tonic Studios dies and retired Prima Marketing paper with a not retired Kraftin' Kimmie stencil background with not retired Kraftin' Kimmie inks. Spring Fae - alcohol marker, stencilling, mixed media
This week's sponsor for the Through the Craftroom Door challenge is Sakuems!
Sakuems is a French self-employed illustrator creating fantasy inspired characters around nature and magic. She has been working on her art for more than a decade and is currently running her etsy store with original watercolor pieces, drawings, high quality prints and coloring book along with other merchandizing featuring her characters.
The prize this week is the 3 images the design team is using for the inspiration projects.
For my project, I used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers with accents of Spectrum Noir metallic pen and Nuvo Aqua Shimmer on the image. I framed it with a Kaisercraft frame I had decorated with Marabu shimmer spray and Nuvo mica mist using stencils from Dylusions and Teresa Collins.

Summer Cherries
For the month of July, the Sheepski Design blog challenge is Square Cards!
I thought this would be an awesome opportunity to show off test this wonderful digi stamp from Andrea called Cherry Duo, coloured as one of my favorite cherry varieties, Ranier cherries, but also a good project to do colouring with both my usual Distress ink with water brush and Spectrum Noir and Chameleon alcohol markers.
I used the two types of colouring to make two Summer picnic cards featuring the Cherry Duo and a plaid table cloth.
This is also my Design Team inspiration post for the Sheepski Designs challenge blog. July's challenge is Square Cards. You don't need to challenge yourself to do two cards in different mediums (I'm just a bit goofy that way), you don't even need to use a Sheepski Designs digital stamp (though we do love to see them on your projects), you just need to make a card that's square and enter it in the challenge. We would love to see you play along with us!
Sheepski Designs has nearly 100 images available in the etsy shop and more available as freebies on the blog: https://SheepSkiDesigns.etsy.com
