Tea-Rex - Through the Craftroom Door, stencilling, alcohol marker

I love a good pun as much as I love stencils. I combined them in a thank you card for a friend who likes tea. Tea-rex is my inspiration project for this week's Through the Craftroom Door blog challenge. Who's the sponsor? Newton's Nook! How about a nice cup of tea, or a nice shaker with a tea-riffic message? My card features a stamp, die, and shaker combo from Jillibean Soup accented with dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs and Hero Arts along with Prima Marketing paper.

Tea?

"With tea for two, and two for tea. Just me for you, and you for me alone."

This cozy tea card is a die cut creation combining die from several different manufacturers, Stampin' Up (flowers), Elizabeth Craft Designs (cup), letters (Spellbinders), and quilted background (Gina Marie Designs). Everything, except the letters, cut from Soft Finish white and then coloured with Distress Ink.

I got the quilted background a couple months ago but this is my first time using it. It's rather lovely but I had to find the right card to debut it. The Stampin' Up set is brand new, part of the most recent Celebrations catalogue. I love the open look. I thought it would be perfect for a cup decoration. The Art Nouveau letters were a Christmas gift from a crafty friend and am so pleased to fit them on another card. The cup is from a pop-up set but looks lovely on its own, too.

Thinking of you

Thinking of you as a fairy in a teacup. The inspiration for this was a "girly" challenge, a masking challenge, and a personal challenge to use at least one button and a doily. I am rather pleased with how it turned out.
