From the Kitchen

A holiday tradition for many people is making stuff in the kitchen to give to family and friends. It's a gift from the heart of the home. It's an offering to break bread together in peace and tranquility. It's also a great way to make or get sweets you don't normally make or get at any other time of year.

Putting It Together

I decided to make a tag because a tag can easily be hung from a baggie of treats.

I decided to make this a "no lines' colouring, so I stamped the image with Desert Sand.

Using a waterbrush and Distress Inks smushed on a plastic sheet, I painted the image.

After colouring, I added white gel pen dot sprinkles to the cupcakes and Wink of Stella. I also added touches of Stickles to the hair ties.

I used a stitched rectangle to trim the image panel and then used the Misti to add a sentiment below the girl.

I added another sentiment above the image panel to give a place to write who the gift is from.

On the back of the tag, I stamp and embossed a spoon and complimentary sentiment. The back of a tag is more readily seen than the back of a card so I like to treat it like the inside of a card.

I added a pair of stacked buttons, some bells, and ribbon to finish the tag.
