Hay You - coloured pencil

A couple years ago I made a bunch of backgrounds using various Kraftin' Kimmie inks available at the time, the Kimmie stencil - Beautiful Burlap, and a gelli plate. I used one of those backgrounds with the newly released Hay You stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. I used Prismacolor pencils to colour the image. To add a bit of texture to the cloth areas, I coloured with a netted bag under the cardstock.

Inside, I stamped the hay pile on another gelli plate with ink panel I made long ago.

Hay You is part of the August 2021 release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

Sup-sup-supper time: My one pot take on a Beef Plov using an Instant Pot - Rijacki's Plov

During the pandemic lockdown I have had more time to experiment with the Instant Pot we got a couple years ago as a gift from my sweetie's dad. I was fishing about on Google for recipes using chicken in the Instant Pot and stumbled on Beef Plov after a few meanderings. I tweaked it a bit over time and now it's my favourite thing with beef and rice and vegetables.

My beef plov inspired one pot dish, Rijacki's Plov, ends up being a bit like a beef stew but with rice instead of the broth. The recipe is inexact because I make it with "hmm.. a bit of this, a bit of that, more of that this time, less of this" with lots of options. It's a hearty meal for a chilly day.

Coffee on the Green - colour pencil, stencilling

For a bit of March green, I decided to make warm coffee card using a lovely stamp set and stencil from Sweet Sentiment, Drink Coffee and Woodland Mandala. I coloured the image using Prismacolour pencils and used Bundled Sage Distress ink for the stencil.

Inside, I used one of the cheeky sentiments for a laugh along with some soft stencilling at the bottom, a bit softer than intended 'cause the stencil decided not to stay put. The soft stencilling adds a light detail that doesn't detract from an added handwritten sentiment.

Hang In There - watercolour marker

I've been a bit stressed lately so this card's sentiment is for me and anyone else who's feeling the stress a bit too much lately. I used a Newton's Nook stamp set, Newton Hangs Out, with Arteza watercolour markers

Beautiful Birthday - die cutting, alcohol marker, slider easel

Using Stampin' Up dies, stamps, papers, and ribbon, I created this slider easel birthday card.

Coffee - Stencilling, alcohol marker, masking

Coffee was on my mind when I created this card. I had run out of my non-dairy creamer right before we got snowed in for a few days and my attempt at a substitution failed horribly. My sweetie was able to go shopping yesterday and got me creamer so I could have coffee today before an early meeting. Ahhh... coffee.
