Putting It Together

I made the lace panel several weeks ago and set it aside for a future project. When I was looking at this Way With Words die, I thought it would be an elegant pairing.

Making the lace background is actually very easy. A bit of nylon lace, cardstock, adhesive sheet, a fluffy makeup brush (a cheap one from the dollar store), and Microfine glitter are all you need.

I applied the adhesive sheet to the card stock and removed the release paper to expose the sticky. I applied a piece of nylon lace over the adhesive and used the release paper to burnish it down on to the adhesive.

I cascaded black Silk Microfine glitter over the lace. I used the makeup brush to brush off the excess that didn't fall off in the cascade. I then burnished the black glitter with my finger.

I cascaded warm diamond over the lace, brushed, and burnished it.

And that finished the lace. I trimmed it to fit the card. And matted with foiled gold cardstock with a linen-like texture before adding the elegant sentiment.
