"Friends are like flowers, they always bloom in colour!" Friends are full of life, colour, and make you smile. My card features two stamps sets from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, the sentiment long retired and the Fancy Florals recently back in stock. I used Nuvo Aqua Flow makers to colour and added a background made with a Prima Marketing stencil and Cosmic Shimmer Luna paste.

For my "not a card", I made a box to hold some cards! I used three colours of Kimmie ink to stamp a pumpkin from Grateful Pumpkins then embossed it and added re-inker spray to the background with the embossing as a resist. I added the pumpkin to a box I die-cut and embossed with Autumn leaves.

The box will hold the A2 Kimmie cards I made for the September release so I can give them as a gift.

If you want to know more about how I made my box, check out my detail post: https://rijacki.blogspot.com/2019/09/autumn-box-detail-kks.html.

Pull the slider up to see the mousie with a slice of cheese.

And inside, the belly full mousie. How very mice of you! You're such a squeak-heart!

The mice and cheese were stamped and coloured with Creamy Caramel and Yummy Yellow on a table cloth stencilled with Totally Taupe and Salty Sea.  If you want to know more about how I made the card, check out my details post: https://rijacki.blogspot.com/2019/09/youre-squeak-heart-detail-kks.html.

Ballerina - TTCRD, mixed media

This week's sponsor for the Through The Craftroom Door challenge is Gecko Galz!

Gecko Galz is a digital craft products shop that was started by a group of paper artist and designers who wanted products that they could not find anywhere else. They wanted to bring their love of paper arts and altered art works to others and inspire them with beautiful papers, stamps and ephemera. The idea of Gecko Galz came to fruition in 2012 when they opened their shop on Etsy and since then have offered hundreds of products, ideas and classes to others

For my inspiration project, I decided to use the Ballerina Girls collage sheet to make a mixed media plaque using a Kaisercraft frame, chipboard filigree from Southern Ridge Trading Company, paints and waxes from Prima and Ranger, Nuvo drops, a Tim Holtz wing, and beaded stick pins.

Back to School Fox - Through the Craftroom Door, watercolor pencil, Distress Oxide, Distress paint splatter

The leaves are starting to turn colours and fall from the trees signalling the yellow school buses to return to the streets to pick up their charges. It's time for back to school.

My card today is my inspiration project for the Through the Craftroom Door blog challenge. Each week we have an Anything Goes challenge. This week's sponsor is M Medel Illustrations and the randomly drawn winner of the challenge will win 3 digital images from their shop.

Hi there! I've doodled since I can remember (on table cloths, street guides, text books, walls and finally, for my parent's relief, sketchbooks). What I love the most is to create adorable characters for both adults and children and bring them to life. That's why I became an animator and illustrator.
I decided to create a shop to free all the characters that were trapped in my sketchbooks, unfinished. So I took them, refurbished and sparkling, and share them to the world. They are ready to be adopted and willing to be part of your crafts.
All my illustratons are 100 % handmade by me, scanned from my sketchbooks and finished in Photoshop with my beloved Wacom Cintiq.
I hope you like what you see and come back soon.

The fox is coloured with Prima Marketing watercolour pencils, and the background is Distress Oxides with Distress Paint splatters.
