Ballerina - TTCRD, mixed media

This week's sponsor for the Through The Craftroom Door challenge is Gecko Galz!

Gecko Galz is a digital craft products shop that was started by a group of paper artist and designers who wanted products that they could not find anywhere else. They wanted to bring their love of paper arts and altered art works to others and inspire them with beautiful papers, stamps and ephemera. The idea of Gecko Galz came to fruition in 2012 when they opened their shop on Etsy and since then have offered hundreds of products, ideas and classes to others

For my inspiration project, I decided to use the Ballerina Girls collage sheet to make a mixed media plaque using a Kaisercraft frame, chipboard filigree from Southern Ridge Trading Company, paints and waxes from Prima and Ranger, Nuvo drops, a Tim Holtz wing, and beaded stick pins.

Winter Magic - embossing, stencilling, die cutting, mixed media

Snow has always been magic for me. Snowflakes on my nose and my lashes really are one of my favourite things. I created a mixed media piece with die cuts, embossing folder, stencil, and a bit of crystal accent.

Flutterby

Today is my first post with an inspiration for the Sheepski Designs challenge blog!

When I looked at the Flutterby digital stamp by Sheepski Designs, I had a mental image of it embossed on copper. So, I had to make it so. I did a card as well because the image is so lovely.

Flutterby is one of the many wonderful images you can find at Sheepski Designs: https://SheepSkiDesigns.etsy.com

Petted Pendants

I like doing unusual projects and coming up with unusual solutions to challenges. The Kraftin' Kimmie Blog scrappy challenge for March is anything except a card. I did the Make a Splash coaster last month for a similar challenge, so I wanted to come up with something different for this month. What could be more different than a couple of pendants made with KKS stamps?

The stamps I used are the hedgehog and flower from from Hello Spring and the fishbowl from A Purr-fect Day! For the hedgehog, a diamond bezel and glitter behind. For the fishbowl, what better than a clear open bezel.
