Pearls - Distress ink watercolouring

A little bunny steppin' out for a night out. This card features House Mouse and Friends with Distress ink water colouring and Stampin' Up products.

Supplies

These are not affiliate links just the products I use and where you can find them, too (if they're not retired).

Putting It Together

I don't have a lot of lace at this time, so for a challenge of Pearls and Lace, I started with the lace I do have and designed the card around it. The lace is a Dijon mustard colour, so everything else followed. I had a small card base, 4" x 3 1/2" in my stash and decided to use it.

I had removed the bunny Diva Hopper from the wood. She had only been available as a wood mount when I got her. Using the Misti, I stamped the bunny with 2 colours of Memento ink. The dark brown Rich Cocoa for the bunny and the light brown Desert Sand for the shoes and purse. This allowed me to do a no lines colouring on both.

I painted the image with Distress inks.

For matching pearls, I used a Chameleon pan to make them yellow. Any alcohol marker can do this.

I fussy cut the bunny with a narrow margin and added the pearls over the stamped necklace.

I added Wink of Stella to her purse to give it a bit of sparkle.

I added translucent Nuvo Crystal drops to the shoes for a bit of shine.

I ran a panel of Natural White cardstock through with the Layered Leaves embossing folder and dry fit the bunny and lace on it.

To give it a finished look, I ran the Walnut Stain mini along the edge.

I used a bit of washi on the back to hold the lace in place.

I adhered the bunny with foam mounting tape and added the panel to the card base.

I added the sentiment to the inside with Rich Cocoa.
