My sweetie has been feeling a bit down lately so I decided to make this card for him. I was also making it for a 'doily' challenge so I appologised to him for it being so girly, but he absolutely loves it.
I die cut two of the heart doily quarter from white gold metallic paper and cut one down the middle to cover my metallic red panel in a half doily.
I stamped the front sentiment on soft finished card stock and die cut the edges with a stitched line. I dry fit the sentiment panel on the doily.
I didn't stamp the sentiment exactly centre, so I trimmed one side and notched the ends. I left the top part of the doily centre quarter loose and adhered the rest of the doily to the red panel. I used foam mounting tape to give the sentiment panel dimension. I also ran the edge of the Worn Lipstick Distress pad along the edges of the sentiment panel to make it stand out more against the white of the doily.
Inside, I added the top of another quarter of the doily that I edged with Worn Lipstick.
