Foxes - alcohol ink markers

A snuggly fox couple for a Christmas card featuring a Newton's Nook stamp set and colouring with Nuvo alcohol markers.

Putting It Together

I got the Fox Hollow stamp set at a recent garage sale hosted by a scrapbooking store. Such cute little foxes.

I used masking to create a snuggly little scene with trees and a fox couple on Simon Says Stamp #110 cardstock that's alcohol marker friendly

I used caramel and green inks for the image items.

I picked up several sets of Nuvo markers when they were in a bundle sale at the end of last month. With the sale and the discount for being a Hedgehog Hollow member, even with shipping, the markers were less than $1.50 each! The markers have a bullet nib and a chisel nib. The colours are vibrant though they don't really match the stickers on the markers. However, the markers do perform well and I am happy I got them. I'll pick up the rest probably a few sets at a time. I did a swatch set but still use space on the panel I know I'll trim to play with blends. I was torn between blue and purple for the scarf.

I used a Spellbinders die to trim the image; then used a grey marker to add am an impression of snow.

I decided to use the sketch challenge #58 for my layout.

I used a DCWV pad for the snuggly paper and to use a kraft card base.

I used tape runner to adhere the patterned papers and foam mounting tape for a small bit of dimension for the image.

Inside, I added a strip of the tree paper and a sentiment from the set.
