Haunted House - Zig watercolour, die cutting, Distress crayon, embossing

Woohoo! It's here! It's here!!

Today we are celebrating the

amazing release of ALL of our
New AUGUST Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!!

ALL FIVE new clear stamp sets, all THREE new Krafty Kolours INKS and TWO new Halloween rubber Rerelease stamp sets are available NOW in the Krafty Shop! ALL the new sets are NOW AVAILABLE individually BUT if you HAVE to have it ALL, we also have our AUGUST Gimme Kimmies Kit which includes all FIVE of the new clear sets together and at a discount! PLUS a couple of add-on options featuring our new INK TRIO! But only for a limited time and while supplies last!

My card features the Haunted House, the first set that was revealed this week. It's a great background stamp or on its own. I coloured the house with Zig Clean Colour markers and paired it with chipboard frame die cut with Tim Holtz dies embellished with embossing and Distress Oxide and Crayons.

So let's have a big happy hop around the design team and guest blogs and check them all out in action! Grab a nice hot (or cold) beverage, sit back and relax while you hop around and enjoy all the amazing creations!!

Putting It Together

The Haunted House was the stamp set included in the Secret Halloween Krafty Kard Kit!

I stamped the image with Wicked Black and then Versamark. I then embossed the image with Glow-in-the-Dark. The glow from the black lines embossed with glow will be subtle.

I then used a Versamarker to fill in the moon and windows and added the glow-in-the-dark embossing. These areas will glow in the dark.

I used the embossing as a little bit of a resist when colouring with Zig Clean Colour markers and waterbrushes. I added droplets of water to the sky to make it mottled. I applied Liquid Applique to the clouds and used a heat tool to puff them.

For a frame, I die cut chipboard and then applied Black Soot Distress Oxide ink.

I dry fit the frame on the image.

I used an embossing folder to give the frame texture.

I rubbed the embossing on the frame with metallic Distress crayon.

I rubbed the crayon into the frame with my fingers.

I used the die to trim the image and fit it into the frame.

I backed the framed house with a spotty paper on a black card base.

Inside, I used the same die to cut a light grey panel which I stamped with a sentiment using Pumpkin Patch. The sentiment comes from a retired set that's been re-released! It's my favourite sentiment set for Halloween.
