Bearable - Distress ink watercolour

It's nice telling someone how much they mean to you. My card features a House Mouse stamp, a sentiment from Unity Stamp Co, paper from Graphic 45, and a stitched die from Lawn Fawn.

Putting It Together

I started out thinking I was making a baby card and ended up with a masculine card.

I stamped the image with dark brown ink and watercoloured it with Distress ink on Montval paper.

I chose the background paper before I started colouring, but, while working on the layout, I found the perfect sentiment that turned my original plan on its head. The sentiment "You make my bad days bearable" was just too perfect for this pair. I'm not sure where I got the ribbon from. I have a mysteriously large amount of it, too. It might be retired Stampin' Up.

The ribbon is 2 sided, statin and more of a grosgrain. I decided the more textured grosgrain side was a better fit. I made this as a side opening card. I added just a strip of scrap from the plaid inside but otherwise left it blank for a personal sentiment.
