Summer Goals - alcohol marker, paper piecing

Summer is a time of lots of frivolous and fun activities. Living like someone left the gate open is a great objective for summer. My card features a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp set paper pieced and coloured with alcohol markers, Copic and Spectrum Noir.

Putting It Together

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is having a daily colouring challenge this month. I've been mostly using stamps in my stash I haven't used before and a variety of colouring mediums. I rarely use alcohol markers and currently own few. I keep picking some up when I can find them on deep deep sales. I have a mixture of Spectrum Noir and Copics which work together without any problems.

I stamped the image on Neenah cardstock with Marvelous Mocha.

I also stamped part of the image, her dress, on a scrap of gingham paper.

I fussy cut just the dress.

The dress will fit over the stamped image.

I used a mixture of Spectrum Noir and Copics to colour the image and add shading to the paper piecing for the dress. Normally I put the items into the supplies list, but my head is really hurty and I am struggling just to finish the post.

When I was done colouring, I fussy cut the full image.

I decided to put the image on a background of "bucket list" summer items.  I added "Whee!" to the list of things learned.

Inside, I added scrap from the same patterned paper and stamped the sentiment as one of the things to do for the summer.
