Bee Sunshine - stencil and stamping

A bright sunny card with a Beeeee! and a rose and a stencilled sun for a bright friendly card featuring Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and inks.

Putting It Together

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps had a new release go live last weekend. I had gotten the Super Sekret Suprise kit so was able to help showcase the new release as part of the guest design team. The Sweet As Can Bee set is part of the June release. The Beautiful Blooms set was released in May. The inks debuted in May with June adding two more. The inks come in two sizes.

For the sun, I used a My Favorite things stencil, brushing on Yummy Yellow with a stencil brush. I used Purple Tape to anchor the pearlised paper and stencil.

Starting from the centre of the sun and brushing out gives a softer look along the rays.

I stamped the flower and leaves with Raspberry Rose and Lovely Lagoon then fussy cut them. I coloured the cute little bee with Yummy Yellow and Marvelous Mocha and a water brush then fussy cut her as well. I did a dry fit on the sunny panel along with a sentiment.

I stamped the sentiment on light blue watercolour patterned paper which I also later used to matte the sunny panel to give a hint of blue sky without actually adding it.

I used foam mounting tape on the flower to pop it up. For the leaves, I only added foam tape to their tips.

I tucked the stems of the leaves under the flower.

For the bee, since I wanted her over the flower, I doubled up the foam tape on the side that would be off the flower.

And I added the beeeeeee.

Not to leave the sentiment out of the poppin', I put a strip of foam tape under the sentiment banner.

And then trimmed off the edge hanging over the card.

Easy Peasy.

Inside, I added a sentiment in Marvelous Mocha with details in Yummy Yellow.
