Wishes - embossing, watercolour

Wishes like stars held in a jar. Close your eyes and choose one. My birthday card features stamps from Unity Stamp Company, embossing, Liquid Pearls used with a water brush, and baker's twine with brads.

Putting It Together

I was mostly done with the card before I realised I hadn't been taking pictures. Oops.

I stamped on black cardstock and embossed with white, then I used Liquid Pearls with a waterbrush to add colour to the stars. I was originally thinking to do an all black card front but it wasn't singing to me so I fussy cut the jar with a wide margin. I used a linen texture cardstock for the background. I poked holes in the corners to add brads and strung yellow and white bakers twine around them.

For my layout, I was inspired by the Feeling Sketchy challenge sketch.

I matted the background panel on black before mounting it to a white card base. I used foam mounting tape under the jar to pop it up a little. I used mini glue dots under the brads to give them a bit more sticking power.

Inside, I added another sentiment. This is a birthday card without using that word.
