Puppy Cuddles - stencilling, embossing, coloured pencil

Nothing so wonderful as a puppy love (unless it's a kitty love *grin*). My card today features a brand new stamp set and stencil from Kraftin' Kimmie that are so new they won't be released until Saturday! I used Krafty inks and Koh-i-Noor pencils to add all my colours.

Putting It Together

Kraftin' Kimmie has a new release on Saturday and some of us lucky customers got a prerelease as part of the Krafty Klub for February!

The Krafty Klub is a no obligation klub. Those who bought the previous month get first chance on the next month's limited number of kits. The kit is sent at the end of the month before the release.

The pre-release stamp set for February's kit is Cuddles the Puppy! It will be available on Saturday with the rest of the February release.

The kit also had the Pawprints stencil, the one on the left. Both of the stamps will be released on Saturday, too.

I started my card with a grey panel and used the Scenery Stencil with a blender tool.

Three very green circles for my background.

I laid the Pawprints stencil over the panel and used a Nuvo blending brush to add a light colouring of dark pink to the whole panel.

I then matched up the circles with the Scenery stencil and used a blender tool to add brown paw prints over just the green circles.

I love how the background turned out! I dry fit it with stamps from the new set.

I embossed the sentiment and puppy with black and then used Kor-i-Noor to add a bit of colour to the puppy.

To finish the card front, I added a thin top and bottom mat of dark brown, put everything on a kraft card base, and added enamel dots from the Kimmie dots that were part of January's kit and release.

Inside, I stamped the sentiment and image with Marvelous Mocha. I added some touches of colour to the girl with Koh-i-Noor pencils.

  1. Love the background you created. The circle effect is super clever. I'm going to have to give it a try. Thanks for joining us at Addicted to Stamps and More! Apologies for the late comment.
