My favourite season is Winter so what better for a birthday card than a wintery shaker? My shaker features a stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps coloured with Nuvo watercolour pencil and paired with snowflake embossing.
Putting It Together
I coloured this image a couple months ago and put it into my stash to wait for a card. I thought it would be a good image to go with silver in a winter themed card.
I coloured the stamp using Nuvo watercolour pencils and waterbrush while I was at lunch at my day job.
I die cut a silver frame and embossed it with the silver-white background panel to have the embossing be seamless from the background to frame.
I trimmed the image panel and dry fit it with background and frame. I almost changed my mind and made the card just like this but decided I really wanted a shaker so I went on.
I trimmed an acetate panel from packaging and adhered it to the frame.
I used foam mounting tape trimmed to narrow strips doubled up to create the shaker compartment.
I filled the shaker with silver and teal snowflake confetti-glitter and added the image panel to the back to seal it.
I added everything to a white card base.
Inside, I added a teal sentiment from the mousie set and silver snowflakes from another set.
