Chase Your Dreams - shaped card with rainbow and dragon

Chasing dreams are like a golden dragon leaping over a rainbow, beautiful.

This shaped easel card features stamps from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and a die set from Craftin' Desert Divas coloured with Distress ink,  Finetec watercolour, and Perfect Pearls.

Supplies

These are not affiliate links just the products I use and where you can find them, too (if they're not retired).

Putting It Together

I got this idea when I was fading off to sleep and then, because of other commitments, had to rush to get it done for the challenge I was inspired by.

I used the die to cut the arc and several clouds. I love the stitched details on this die set.

For the card base, I traced the outside edge of the die and extended it.

I fussy cut the base and cut out the void under the arc. I left a connected piece for stability. This long area will be covered with clouds.

The card elements all in white.

I used a blender and Distress ink on each arc.

I adhered each arc to a backing panel.

I scored and folded the card base along the bottom edge.

I dry fit the rainbow panel.

I used a Mister with Perfect Pearls to add shimmer to the rainbow. I carefully heat set it so the water didn't move the Distress ink.

I added clouds to the rainbow panel.

I dry fit the easel again to figure out the placement of the bottom clouds. I had added a double stacked strip to the front of the card to act as a stopper for the easel.

I added the row of clouds on the easel front.

I embossed a dragon with gold on watercolour paper.

I used a waterbrush and Finetec pearlescent watercolour on the dragon and added shading with Distress ink and dark eyes with Gelly Roll Glaze.

I fussy cut the dragon and adhered him with foam mounting tape.

I stamped the sentiment on silver foiled card stock and added it to the easel front over the clouds.
