Non-traditional colours on a Christmas card can be rather fun and refreshing. I used one challenge to give me the colours for another challenge calling for non-traditional colours. It all worked out :)

Supplies
I'm on vacation this week crafting in a hotel room with the limited supplies that will fit in with our luggage. We're here to visit family and friends of my sweetie, but I have a bit of down time to do stuff I love doing. I've been able to make a lot more cards this week than when I am trying to fit crafting in around a day job :) But I am limited in the types of things I can make, of course.
I did a dry fit of the image stamp and a sentiment to see if they would fit on the water colour cardstock panel I pre-cut.
I stamped the image with Desert Sand to do a "no lines" colouring with Distress Ink watercolouring.
The colours for The Color Throwdown challenge aren't traditional Christmas colours, but I thought they might work fot this card: Orange, Rust, Teal & Copper. I selected my Distress Inks to fit with those colour families.
I added copper Perfect Pearls to the copper ribbon and pearl to the teal outfit. I wafted the panel through a mist of water to 'set' the Perfect Pearls. I had thought about stamping copper over the black on the sentiment but the black just looked right. I used tape runner to affix the panel to the kraft card base to finish the card.
