Our return home from vacation hit a few bumps or at least one huge fog bank. We were supposed to fly from St Louis to Chicago and then, after a made dash through the airport from one gate to another, from Chicago to Vancouver. The fog blanketing Chicago on Tuesday had a different idea. The flight from St Louis circled above Chicago for about 30 mins and then, because it was a rather small plane, diverted to Peoria to refuel. We were allowed to deplane and waited in Peoria for a bit before reboarding and returning to Chicago. By the time we got to Chicago our flight to Vancouver had long since left. There is only one flight a day to Vancouver from Chicago so we chose to fly to Denver and then Vancouver on the same day. But, this left us with about 4 hours waiting in Chicago's airport for the Denver flight. I'm so glad I had pre-stamped some more images and had my tube of pencil and water brush with me. I once more did some painting in the airport. We finally got home at nearly midnight. From the time we woke up in St Louis to drive to the airport to getting home in Vancouver, it was nearly 24 hours. Oi!
I had stamped both of these angels with a couple cards in mind. It is the star holding Celestina I'm using in this one. I used the watercolour pencils and a waterbrush to paint them in the airport while waiting for our flight.
At home, I fussy cut Celestina but trimmed away her star and added Wink of Stella to her wings.
I had the idea of putting her on a dark blue card base with the sentiment's star in a similar position to the star that's on the stamp.
I used gold embossing for the sentiment and tipped Celestina to position her hand beneath the star. The angel is adhered to the card with foam mounting tape to give her some dimension.
I gold embossed a second sentiment in the inside of the card.
Rijacki this is sweet and beautiful
