For my inspiration project, I coloured Owl with Prismacolor pencils with Nuvo drop and Aqua Shimmer accents to make an oversized card.

Putting It Together

I wanted to do some watercolouring on this image but my printer didn't cooperate. I'm rather glad it didn't since this turned out so nicely with coloured pencil. I'm sorry about the uneven lighting in the pictures. I'm still struggling with getting decent lighting with my present set up.

I used Prismacolor pencils to colour the digi on MiTeintes paper.

I trimmed the image and found the perfect backing paper in a Kaisercraft pad Old MacDonald. Along with a black matting, the foiled pattern on tan fits perfectly. I cut an oversized card base to fit the image for a card 6 3/4" x 5 1/2"

After adhering the image and matting to the card base, I used a variety of Nuvo drops as accents: Caramel Cream and  Sugared Almond Crystal Drops, Golden Sunset and Honey Gold Glitter Drops, and Cloud 9, Dragon Scales, and Fairy Wings Dream Drops. I also used Nuvo Aqua Shimmer on her dress and barrettes. The Cloud 9 on her eyes and her owl's eyes give them an ethereal look.

Inside, I used a strip of the patterned paper matted with black for a matching detail.
