Ornamental - stamping, single layer, masking

I love the look of multicoloured glass ornaments, especially antique ones. My single layer card features a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp set and Kraftin' Kolors inks dusted with Perfect Pearls.

Putting It Together

I have a special affection for single layer cards. They take a bit of planning but can be really satisfying when everything comes together.

I created Post-It masks for all the ornaments in the set. I can re-use them on other projects, too. I then laid out the ornament stamps on the white card base to decide how to arrange them.

I stamped each ornament and then quickly brushed the drying ink with pearl Perfect Pearls to give them a subtle metallic sheen. I also brushed the sentiment and hangers with gold Perfect Pearls. I used the ornament masks to stamp the hangers so I could get them lined up better with the ornaments. I stamped each of the ornaments in different colours because I like having different colours on my tree.

I left the inside blank for a personal sentiment.

  2. Thanks for the tips about how you created your card. I wish I'd made more flat cards, having just written them all, I had to decide which ones I could post. A stylish collection of baubles. Thanks for joining in at 52CCT
