Forever Love - watercolour pencil

Forever love, who would know that better than a vampire? My Valentine card features Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and Prima watercolour pencils for the colouring.

Putting It Together

I didn't want to make a Halloween card so had to think what else would be suitable for a vampire. a valentine's card, of course. As a side note, this little vampire reminds me of the main character in What We Do in the Shadows. The most hilarious vampire movie ever.

I used Prima Marketing watercolour pencils to colour the vampire. I love these watercolour pencils, they're so creamy. I now have 3 of the 6 sets and I now have blue, too :) I fussy cut him and added touches of white gel pen to his eyes and teeth.

While pondering how to put him in a card, I decided I didn't want to do a Halloween card, so I got this paper pad out of my stash that I got several years ago from Micheals and haven't used much. The red and white stripes sang to me and the first paper in the pad was the "love you forever" which is the exact sentiment I had in my mind for the card. I die cut the heart, trimmed the 'love you' paper and dry fit them together to see if it would work.

I used the Distress brush to add Vintage Photo to the edges of the heart and the background panel to give them more definition and enhance the vintage look to the papers.

I added the papers to a kraft card base and used foam mounting tape on the image to pop it up.

Inside, I used the top scrap from the same paper as the background with the wonderful "j'adore" (I love you in French) and added another sentiment in blue.
