Life is a Journey - watercolour, die cutting, Oxides on glossy photo paper

Life is a journey, enjoy every moment. My card features an adorable stamp by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, die cuts from Gina Marie Designs and Simon Says Stamp, Distress marker water colouring, and Distress Oxides on glossy photo paper.

Putting It Together

I have a car with a cabriolet top. I love driving with the top down.

I stamped the image with Fog on watercolour paper.

I watercoloured the image with Distress markers and water brushes.

I fussy cut the image with a narrow margin.

For the background, I smudged a bit of plastic packaging with Distress Oxides and Picket Fence.

I wet the ink liberally.

I placed a sheet of glossy photo paper on the ink. Since there was still ink. I squished another sheet on the remaining ink.

I heat set the ink on the glossy paper.  The inks have a chalky film when they're dry.

I then wiped the paper with a wet wipe to reveal the marbeling.

On the left is the first dip that I used on another project. The one on the right I used for this card.

I die cut the frame with road from glittered cardstock and dry everything.

I used foam mounting tape to pop up the image. I die cut the sun from watercolour patterned paper and the clouds from pearl paper.

Inside, I stamped a sentiment and added some fish-tail banners with the colours from the front.
