Summer is here! Wouldn't we all like to go play on the beach? It's a great place for a birthday party or any kind of party or for any reason at all. Just don't' forget the sunscreen!
For my card, I used a House Mouse stamp coloured with Distress markers and a sentiment from Art Impressions.
Putting It Together
My sweetie put the air conditioner (in room type) into our bedroom last night because we're having a heat wave here. So, a good time to make a beachy card.
I stamped the cute House Mouse image on to watercolour cardstock with archival ink and coloured it with Distress markers and a waterbrush. I got this image over the weekend at a car boot sale sponsored by a local scrapbooking store. I also got a few of the markers there, too, to add to my collection. It's so nice to use a new item so soon after I get it.
I found a die in my stash that fit the image perfectly.
I matted the image with shell paper and added the perfect cheeky sentiment. I knew I had a sentiment in my stash with "ball" and "birthday"; Evernote helped me find it. I log everything into Evernote for just this purpose.
Inside, I added a strip of the scrap from the shell paper. The shells are glossy embossed.
