Pastels and bunnies are commonly seen on Easter or Spring treats. This fluffy Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps pastel bunny was watercoloured with Distress ink after being embossed with Hero Arts pink halo.
Putting It Together
I don't have much that's specifically Easter.. wait, no, I have nothing in my stash that's specifically Easter but I do have a few bunnies and pastels. The stamp I used for this project is a long long retired stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, but isn't he a cutie?
I stamped the image with Versamark and embossed it with pink halo embossing powder from a recent Hero Arts, My Monthly Hero kit. It's got a little bit of sparkle with that lovely pink.
I used the embossing as a resist and did a quick very watery pastel colouring with Distress ink. I've been playing Pokemon Go recently so couldn't resist colouring the bunny yellow with those red dot cheeks.
I used a stitched oval to trim the image.
I dry fit the image with watercolour paper from Lawn Fawn and a few brightly coloured doilies I got in kits from Kraftin' Kimmie (not sure which kits).
I cut the two small doilies in half to place on the sides to matte the larger doily and added three glittery enamel dots. I adhered the doilies just by their 'flat' centres, leaving their lacy edges free. I used foam mounting tape on the stitched oval to lift it over the doilies.
Inside I stamped a sentiment in pink and added a strip of the background paper from the front.
