For my creation with with this adorable stamp set, I decided to use a bright palette and embellishments.

I even added a touch of pink in and doilies to the inside.

Supplies

Putting It Together

Normally I have a series of pictures at various stages, but my camera decided to wonk out and none of the pictures I took are usable *sniffle*

I stamped the image on watercolour paper with pink ink so I could do a "no lines" colouring. I use Distress Inks with a waterbrush and keep notes on colours used.

I used Wink of Stella on the flower in her hair and Stickles StarDust for the flower applique on her dress. Stickles has more glitter and a tiny bit of dimension. StarDust is clear so any colour below shows through.

I used an embossing folder for the dark green panel, Since I used a Core'dinations cardstock with a lighter core, I used a nail buffer to sand off some some of the embossed swirls to reveal the inner colour. To add a bit of colour to the card base, I used a stenciling brush to add the lightest pink (Spun Sugar) and then, with a stencil in place, added a darker pink (Festive Berries). The ClarityStamp stencil brushes were a Christmas gift from a dear friend. They add a soft bit of colour.

I used the same brush to add a bit of soft colour to the inside of the card as well.

Using embellishments from the January and September Surprise Kits, I added pink velvety glittered Hydrangeas and lime green and sunshine yellow doilies. I also added doilies to the inside of the card.
