Jar of Summer Flowers

Summer time and a jar with flowers from the garden on the table to brighten the room and fill it with lovely scent.

The other day I picked up my recent Stampin' Up order from the new catalogue from my dealer.. err demo's house. One of the items I had ordered is the bundle Jar of Love with jar stamps and dies along with some other related shapes. I've been looking forward to getting a set like this for some shaker cards and other things.

Book Mouse, Fill Your Heart With Wonder

"Butterfly in the sky, I can fly twice as high.." Anytime I think of butterflies I think of books and rainbows. So, this little mouse is going to fill his heart and his mind with wonder, by reading.

This little mouse went together pretty fast from concept to completion. Both the little mouse and the butterfly are watercoloured with Distress Ink.

Pontificating on the Process:- Why do I blog

Tragedy, misery that cuts like a knife... - Disaster with Mixed Media and Recovery

I like working with a variety of mediums. One of my favourite "ooooo" mediums is Pébéo Fantasy Moon, Fantasy Prisme, and Vitrail liquid paints because of how they interact and do just absolutely cool stuff as they cure or dry. I also really like working with resin, too. When I started doing papercrafting, it was with a mind to marry it with the other media I use, too, just another technique in the tool box, of something like that.

So.. the disaster, the tragedy, the misery that cuts like a knife.. I had created a Pebeo art panel that I was intending to use as an under sea backdrop for a "not a card piece" challenge.

This blog post is about that disaster and recovery from it.

Discover Chemistry

For June 2016, I am one of the guest designers for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps with the pleasure of being one of those to get one set of the new June release early to be able to create with it. The new release is on the 11th and the sneak peeks, including mine, will be revealed on the 8th. Until then, there are other KKS challenges to play along with. *grin*

Today there is a new Wonderful Wednesday challenge on the KKS blog and as usual, it's Anything Goes! So you have a full week to play along by creating a new project and linking it up to the blog post! I hope you can join us and submit your creation for a chance to WIN the monthly prize of a gift voucher to the shop!

Today's card is silly little puppy discovering chemistry and getting turned green as a result. The challenge that inspired him is for a monochrome project and so I chose green. With the use of Evernote, I was able to design the elements of the card, somewhat, while I was away from my workshop and all my stash.
