Handy Thanks - Zig marker

Thanks for all the handy things you do! My masculine card features stamps from Kraftin' Kimmie and a sentiment die from Hero Arts. The stamped image is coloured with Zig Clean Colour markers.

Putting It Together

It's easy to overlook adding masculine cards to the stash. But, my own style isn't heavily embellished so fits more to masculine cards than someone who uses a lot of fruffie, ribbons and flowers and stuff. I think fruffie cards can be very lovely, but struggle to add all that for my own work.

I stamped the image on watercolour paper with Totally Taupe and then coloured with Zig Clean Colour markers and waterbrush.

The Zigs that I have are very bright colours. To tone it down a bit, I decided to use a dark brown plaid for the background. I also wanted to use a dark pewter coloured sentiment die cut for another masculine touch, but the dark on dark had no contrast.

So I decided to add in another lighter coloured plaid which I trimmed with a tag die. The dry fit looked good so I went to the assembly phase.

I die cut 2 more 'thanks' from heavy black cardstock. I stacked the three for a dimensional sentiment.

I embossed the second part of the sentiment and added everything to a kraft card base.

Inside, I added a sentiment and 2 flags I die cut. For the fishtails, I used the corner of the rectangle die I used for the back panel.
