Butterflies are often a symbol of reincarnation, a blossoming of a new life while shedding the old. My project features Astrid the Fairy, a bookworm fairy perched on her stack of books. I used glossy photo paper with Distress Oxides for the main image and chipboard decorated with Nuvo Mouse and Art Alchemy wax to make it into a wall hanging.

Ten Gallon Ted - Through the Craftroom Door, Lacy Sunshine, watercolour pencil

Hey there, Buckaroo!

The adorable Ten Gallon Ted Cactus, by Lacy Sunshine, is the focus of my inspiration card for this week's Through the Craftroom Door's "Anything Goes" challenge. Lacy Sunshine is our wonderful sponsor this week.

Heather valentin is a lady who breathed art her entire life. She was drawing as soon as she could hold a crayons . Guided by her farther. She found her truest joy in drawing and painting, in a BA in arts. Heather made her way in th world by creating original drawings and installations for various global companies / corporations for advertisement and display purposes .
Heather's true love has always been creating her original copyrighted characters and sharing them with her appreciative public. Her beloved characters are recognizable worldwide her signature eyes, and drawing style mostly featuring mismatched clothing and characters from days gone by. Making people smile with her art is heather's greatest joy.

Tarot - Death, watercolouring with Distress and stenciling with Distress Oxide and Perfect Pearls

This is my very first post as a member of the design team for Through The Craftoom Door (TTCRD). I am thrilled that the sponsor is the amazing Rick St Dennis with his wide selection of digital art.

For this project, I created a tarot card using REaPeR and Distress ink. The card I created is Death which can signify change. As the start of a stint as a design team member for TTCRD, this is a time positive change for my crafting and creative aspirations.

Rick St. Dennis MFA has been an artist, designer, stage designer and instructor for over 45 years. You can find his full Bio here. His digital stamp images can be found on Zibbet . Braiding

When your hair is incredibly long, sometimes you dream of better ways to manage that braid. A Cinderella story, butterflies arranging your hair effortlessly.

For this project I chose to do a wall hanging using chipboard for the background (and backing) and a ribbon recycled from some long ago gift. The ribbon seemed perfectly matched to the Distress Ink and Perfect Pearls painting I had done.
