Love You - Valentine card with background die negative pieces and stenciling

Love you! A card expressing love with the negative pieces of a background die cut of a stenciled panel with an foam embossed sentiment.

Supplies

These are not affiliate links just the products I use and where you can find them, too (if they're not retired).

Putting It Together

The background die cut for this card actually made two cards, one for the positive and one for the negative. The positive is a Unicorn birthday card: https://rijacki.blogspot.com/2017/08/birthday-unicorn.html.

I wanted some texture in the die cut background so I started with a stencil. I used the Circular Lace stencil with Cosmic Shimmer on a white panel.

The lace pattern is gorgeous with a bit of texture.

I ran the stenciled panel through the Big Shot with the Floating Hearts background die.

I separated this into the negative and positive. The positive I used on another card.

To put the negative into place, I put removable adhesive on the back of the positive and secured it to the panel.

Like a puzzle, I put the negative pieces into place. I then carefully removed the positive.

The negative shows the coloured panel behind it.

I die cut some fun foam and used removable adhesive to secure it to a scrap paper.

I squished the foam words with VersaMark...

...and covered them with embossing powder. After heat setting the embossing, I added 2 more layers of the VersaMark and embossing powder.

I added the words to the centre of the card face and added pearls and enamel dots (not pictured here).

Inside, I stamped a sentiment from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps with Watermelon.
