Putting It Together
When I first got my Big Shot a year ago, I was mad dies (still am) and was looking for boxes. I hadn't quite figured out how the dimensions of the Big Shot would affect boxes made with it and written dimensions don't always register for me. So.. when I bought this cute box, I didn't realise quite how small it is *laugh* but, even diminutive, it can hold a special small gift or delectable treat.
This project did begin with the box. It's all of a little less than 3" on each side and stands a bit more than that with the top. I used the Santa paper from the Sugar Plum pad. I had thought about putting a window in it (something that needs to be done when it's flat) but then got the idea to make the sleigh with the reindeer. The box is held together with Scor-tape.
I originally thought to have 4 reindeer, one on each side, but then.. their numbers grew. I stamped the reindeer with Memento Desert Sand so I could colour them with "no lines". I gave them scarfs in the Christmas-y colours and used Chocolate Liquid Pearls for their noses and eyes.
I used foam mounting tape to give them dimension and strung them around the box with pink and white cotton twine as the reins for the sleigh. I toped the box with a silver snowflake ribbon and more of the pink and white twine.
