Get Well - watercolour pencil

A helpful candy stripe nurse's aide bandages a teddy bear so he can heal up. My card features a long retired image from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, a die cut sentiment from Elizabeth Craft Designs, and an embossing for the background from Spellbinders.

Putting It Together

I made this for a friend who is very dear to me and is now battling a serious disease. I am hopeful he will have a full recovery.

I coloured the image while at my day job during lunch using Nuvo watercolour pencils and waterbrush.

At home, I die cut the image and a matte. I also embossed a panel and die cut the sentiment. I did a dry layout to plan the card.

I die cut additional words of the sentiment from a heavy black cardstock. The blue is a dark plaid. The pattern, on the die cuts, is subtle.

I stacked each word, adhering the layers.  The black base gives the words dimension.

I used foam mounting tape to pop up the image and it's matte.

Inside I stamped a sentiment and added a strip of the same paper as the matte for the image.
