This cute little ballerina is entirely unthrilled with the role she's been given. It's just one of those days. My card features a long retired stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps watercoloured with Nuvo pencils. She is paired with a background of paint spatter, ribbon, and flowers.
The ballerina was one of the images I coloured last month in a challenge to colour every day. It was nice having her in a stack of images already coloured.
I coloured the ballerina for lunch at my day job using Nuvo watercolour pencils and waterbrush. I use a canvas brush holder to safely store my pencils so I can carry them in my purse.
I used an oval die to trim the ballerina.
I had decided to use the sketch from a challenge.
I used a dollar store brush to spatter the kraft card base.
While the paint was wet, I could only hold the oval over the background to see if it looked good together. I got a smudge on the oval, but planned to have flowers so.. was okay.
With the paint dry (mostly) I was able to adhere the ribbon, image, and sentiment. I dry fit the flowers strategically covering smudges.
I added pale pink rhinestones to the flowers to finish off the card.
Inside, I added a sentiment stamped on the same paper as the image and a painted stripe.
