Winter is my favourite season. I love the cuddliness of it as well as the magical look of snow and ice making everything sparkle.
My card today was made with a long retired Kraftin' Kimmie stamp coloured with watercolour pencil and paired with a sentiment from a Kraftin' Kimmie set that's not retired. The die cuts are CC Designs and the background paper is Doodlebug.
Putting It Together
Once more I did some colouring with watercolour pencil and water brush while I was at work, during my lunch break. I didn't take in progress colouring pictures.
When I got home, I thought of the papers in my stash and remembered I got this adorable Doodlebug paper last year. I checked the untrimmed image with the paper and it fit so well! Even though the colours are softer, it also didn't take away from the gender neutralness of the image keeping this card as something that can be given to a guy as a "masculine" card.
I used a mini Distress ink pad, Broken China, to run along the edge of my trimmed background panel. This gives it a very very thin colour edge which nicely finishes it for this card.
I used CC Designs dies to trim the image. The shape of the tag die just seemed to fit him so well. I also stamped and die cut a sentiment. I used foam mounting tape under the image and sentiment to add a bit of dimension.
Inside, I used a stamp from Unity Stamps that I had gotten as a freebie in one of my orders. I stamped it in a teal-ish green for a softer look and to link back to colours on the card front.

Perfect sentiment, perfect paper choices, beautiful coloring and I adore that he's holding his little cup of cocoa (which is exactly what I'm now doing this time of year -- no pumpkin spices for me). Such a cutie! Thanks for sharing your talent at Pennys Challenges!
