Witchin' - Through the Craftroom Door, digi paper, shaker

Featuring a digital paper from Decosses Dynamite Doodles, my card represents witches flying around their magic cauldron which doubles as a shaker for this Halloween card that is my inspiration project for the Through the Craftroom Door challenge blog. Putting It Together

I had a different project in mind when I chose this digital paper but the Outlawz sketch gave me a different idea.

I like using digital paper for its versatility. You can print it in different sizes to use in different places on your project. You can even print it on different types of paper for different effects or textures.

The sketch that inspired me is the Outlawz sketch this week.

I did a dry layout to start the sketch. I die cut rings and circles for the shaker and wide 'arrows'. I cut the ends of the centre panel by using just one side of a diamond die for a partial cut.

The shaker container is 2 fun foam rings, a glossy cardstock ring from DCWV foiled cardstock, a Core'dinations circle for the bottom, and a circle of acetate for the window.

I matted the 'arrows' and used the outside of the circle die to allow them to nestle in under the lip of the cauldron.

I cut and matted triangles for the outer corners and did one more dry fit of all the elements.

With the cauldron shaker partly assembled, I poured in black and gold sequins.

With the bottom on the cauldron, it's easy to just use it as a single element which makes it easier to place.

I put the card together, popping up the 'arrows' with a single layer of foam mounting tape which makes them half as tall as the cauldron/shaker. I also added some black glittered enamel dots to the triangle corners.

Inside, I used a strip of the witches, a sentiment in glow-in-the-dark embossing, and added a blank panel matching the bottom of the cauldron, plenty of room for a personal sentiment. Witching you all the best!
