All Cylinders - alcohol marker, shaker

My card today is a masculine birthday card with a shaker featuring stamps by Unity Stamp Co with Spectrum Noir colouring, Lawn Fawn plaid, and a shake-shake-shaker.

Putting It Together

I like vintage cars. They have such style and panache. I was aiming for a powder blue finish on this one.

I used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to colour the card on Marker paper by Strathmore.

I fussy cut the car because I wanted to put the shaker behind it.

The car is quite large and fills most of an A2 lengthwise. I did a dry fit including the circle die and a sentiment to get my spacing. To get the circle cut in the exact same place on the panels, I used removable adhesive to temporarily adhere them together and ran them through the Big Shot at the same time. I die cut the plaid a second time with a circle one size larger.

I cut two solid blue panels to sandwich the clear window so I could have a matte ring under the acetate.

I built my shaker and adhered it to a kraft card base then added the car with foam mounting tape to pop it up.

Inside, I stamped the sentiment and the front of the car in a dark blue.

  1. I love the blue vintage car and the plaid background. But mostly I love that you made it a shaker and love your sentiment. Thanks for sharing this with the team at Seize the Birthday. Hope to see you again.
