The simple elegance of black and white makes a very distinctive Christmas Card. My card features dies and stamps by Impression Obsession.
Putting It Together
I often to combine challenges sometimes to give myself an additional challenge. Black and white with no other colour and Christmas were the challenges I wanted to combine, very non-traditional colour scheme. The end results, though, is very elegant.I die cut two of the sleigh and reindeer from heavy black cardstock.
After gluing and stacking the sleigh die cut, I went over it with Wink of Stella for a subtle glittery look.
I cut a panel of embossed cardstock from Stampin' up and dry fit the sleigh with the sentiment.
I embossed the sentiment to stand up better to the embossed background.
Inside, I stamped the sentiment and embellishments with black on a white pearl panel. When using a dark card base, I always add a white or light coloured pane.
