This week's sponsor for the Through the Craftroom Door blog challenge is Ike's Art.
Hi there – I am Ike……a nickname that I got hooked with many years ago due to my surname
I live in Greece and have a passion for kitties.
I am a bit crazy or should I say I’m ‘zany’ hahaha. I have a very strange/sick sense of humour and I must admit I spend a lot of time talking to myself. !! Well, I get more sense out of me.! I reckon in a few years I shall be known as the “crazy cat lady” ☺
I am an artist and have a strange mind when it comes to creating my art. I either go completely true to life… right down to the last hair… or I go totally surreal. I have a passion for all things horror/Gothic etc. I’ve always loved horror films and books and I guess that’s why it creeps into my stuff

My project features a Dragon which I coloured with Primacolor pencils on Bristol.

Putting It Together
I chose the dragon as my inspiration piece because I have always had a love for the mythical creature.
I almost always think green when I consider dragons. I chose a few green tones to colour the scales.
I used a slanted light box to give me a slightly raised slanted surface for colouring. This helps to keep my neck from getting kinked while I colour. I also used a paper coffee filter under my hand so I wouldn't drag colour with the side of my hand.
While colouring, I keep track of the pencils I use. This is helpful for me later if I want to do a similar blend.
I trimmed the dragon to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". I was a bit stumped on how to finish him. I left him alone a couple days to ponder.
I finished the dragon up simply with an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of heavy black cardstock and 1/2" strips of mercury glass cardstock. The simple look works well for this project.
