I had in mind to put together a quick card but then I dithered over what to make and ended up taking longer than I intended *laugh*. If you can believe it, I started out wanting to make a baby or bride card! But, I was looking at the striped paper I recently got from MFT while looking at the MFT colour challenge and.. umm.. nautical started to rumble in my head so I followed that notion.
For the layout, I took inspiration from the #345 Sketch challenge for My Favorite Things.
And the colours from the My Favorite things color challenge.

I die cut a ring from foiled cardstock and the sailboat for colour-core and embossed a panel of blue. I dry fit them together to see if my idea would work.
I added a hint of Distress ink on the edges of the two background panels before adhering them to the card base.
To add dimension, I used foam mounting tape on the ring and boat. To hold the boat in position on the ring while I added the snips of foam tape, I used a small bit of removable adhesive.
I stamped the inside to match the nautical/travel theme of the front.
