An ATC with a Distress Oxide and Perfect Pearls background on embossing resist.
Supplies
These are not affiliate links just the products I use and where you can find them, too (if they're not retired).
ATC, Artist Trading Card is a small card 2.5" x 3.5" that, like a business card, shows a bit of the artist's technique or craft.
I made this one on kraft cardstock with a sentiment from Unity Stamps embosses with a lavender sparkle.
I put the panel under my clear work surface and dabbed Oxide inks on the surface. Having the card under where I am dabbing shows me how large of an inked area I need.
I sprayed the ink with water mixed with Perfect Pearls.
I laid the panel over the wet ink and squished the ink on to the cardstock.
I decided I needed more, so I heat set the panel and added more. I was astounded by how the Perfect Pearls mixed with the ink for a much more metallic look than with original Distress. It's really cool.
I dabbed more colour on to the surface and sprayed it with the Perfect Pearls.
I smushed and heat set.
I added single colours with a swipe and spray also adding some ink directly without water.
The palette I used. After I took this picture, I added Salty Ocean to the edges of the panel with a blender tool. The colours on the panel look almost marbley.
