Who hasn't been overwhelmed and exhausted by work? This wooden plaque is embossed and painted with Distress crayon and marker and features a House Mouse and Friends stamp.
Supplies
These are not affiliate links just the products I use and where you can find them, too (if they're not retired).
I started this project at home but completed it while on vacation many miles away.
I started with a small wood panel.
I dry fit the stamp on the panel.
After I prepped the panel with the powder too, I used the Misti to stamp the panel with VersaMark. This let me double stamp to ensure a good impression.
I covered the panel with fine black embossing powder.
I noticed the embossing powder clung to spots on the wood that weren't stamped.
I used a soft brush ti remove powder from places that weren't stamped to clean up the image a little.
I used a heat tool to set the powder.
With the embossing done on the panel, I packed it with the rest of the stuff I took on vacation.
I set up in the hotel to paint the panel. I to save space (and weight), I didn't bring everything with me on vacation. For Distress, I brought only the crayons and markers I currently have. I also have Scibble Sticks, Tombow aqua markers, and water colour pencils (which I used for painting on planes and in airports).
I mostly used the crayons and markers by scribbling them on to an acrylic block and wetting the pigment with a waterbrush. I kept track of the colours used on one of the hotel notepads. Handy.
